Instant Pot Asparagus

Every day I fall more and more in love with my Instant Pot as I realize its true purpose and potential.

 At first, I thought I absolutely had to do everything in my Instant Pot because it had all of these amazing features (which it does, don’t get me wrong), but that’s not the case.

The summer weather helped me realize this, because sometimes you just can’t beat that smokey flavor that you would get from cooking various meats outside on the grill. Not to say that I don’t love ALL the meats that I cook in my Instant Pot, too, but you get what I mean.

Then, on the other hand, there are just some things that make grilling way harder than it needs to be, like asparagus. Why constantly stand over your grill in 100-degree weather to cook a side dish like asparagus, or any vegetable, that’s just silly. 

Thats where the Amazing Pot comes into play. This Instant Pot Aspargus (as well as other vegetables) cooks in 0-minutes on the timer and with NO attention needed. Not to mention, it was absolutely the best Aspargus I’ve ever had.

 Instant Pot Aspargus 

Ingredients:

1-2lbs Aspargus 

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp pepper 

3-4 cloves garlic, minced

2 Tbsp butter ( you can skip if you want it to be a healthier version)

 

To Prepare:

Add 1/2 cup water and butter to bottom of your pressure pot.

Then, add Aspargus to pot and top with salt, pepper, and minced garlic.

Close and seal lid. Cook on manual HIGH-pressure for 0-minutes. Quick release pressure when finished. Serve along with your favorite meal and ENJOY!

  • I am new to Instant pots, so maybe this is something I don’t understand. What is 0 minutes? I really do not understand how to cook asparagus in 0 minute. Thank you
